I just wanted to say how much fun I am having setting up my blog and reading what others have put into theirs.

Leave a testimony

When I'm at my vendor booth at homeschool conventions, I often meet moms who say they have a hard time finding other homeschooling moms to befriend. This past year, I've been pointing them to HomeschoolBlogger.com. I tell them to visit the blogs and leave comments at the ones they like best, and before they know it, they'll have wonderful friends! I've sure gotten to know a lot of awesome people thanks to HomeschoolBlogger.com.

Issacharian Daughters #088 - Wedding Reception Part 1  by KiwiSmithFamily
Issacharian Daughters #088 - Wedding Reception Part 1 Dear Girls, The next newsletter is attached. (because there are no notes this time I am adding this below instead of in a  pdf) Warm regards, Genevieve ID088 - Wedding Reception - Part 1  10 Nov 2008 In the weeks leading up to the wedding people would ask my family and I, “Are you stressed?” And in the week before the wedding people would say to us, “Now, don’t tell us that you aren’t stressed!” Days before the wedding someone bought us all little stress balls to squeeze. And yet these comments had my family (more)
Everything Went Wrong - The Movie  by Alison
Yesterday (Monday) morning my sisters and I were standing all together in the kitchen, being silly, while Amy, who thinks the camera is a part of her hand, was taking pictures and videos of us. Suddenly, we all got this great idea to make a movie. So we started. Planning the first scene alone probably took us half an hour or longer, but finally we got it all together and recorded it. After that, we brainstormed about other scenes to put in our movie (it's obvious we didn't really plan beforehand, just played it by ear the whole time, and (more)

i went to this little exchange group tonight. It  is nice! It is a odd mixture of people, but everyone comes and have a short meeting to discuss what is going on and then we eat together and tonight people brought things they could trade. one lady had beautiful crocheted hats, whole wheat pita bread and homemade spray deodorant, lip balm etc. Another lady had a bunch of Christian music CD's she wanted to trade for certain items for the troops.  I brought my loaf of whole wheat pumpkin bread, beef barley soup and fruit salad with apples and mandarin (more)

FYE-ette-vaille, etc.  by Jessica
[Well, looks like I never finished up from Purcellville. The next morning we headed over to the church whose house we were using to present Faithful. That was the only song we did. We didn’t have any makeup on and we were in maroon shirts. The presentation went really well. It gave me chills. The sanctuary was deathly silent when we finished and as we walked out. When Josiah died he fell right at the feet of one of the women in the choir and freaked her out… that was funny. But as far as presentations go, it was very (more)

STUDENT of the WORD: Curriculum Review  by Misti
...so it was about 4 years ago, late in the Spring when we homeschool moms start planning out the next school year's worth of curriculum.    I don't remember exactly all that happened, but it was one of those moments where bright lights flashed, everything confusing suddenly makes sense and you take a major U-turn on all you had been planning.  (those who don't know me...I'm not serious about the bright lights....it just was AH HA!) See, I had a curriculum that I LOVED.  I won't say what cause I still think it's an awesome curriculum, and if any of you are going (more)
Living and Learning On One Income (A Review)  by Bethany
We can’t live on one income! Have you seen the price of gas lately? I’ve got eight kids—that’s a lot of grocery money! We’re too used to eating at nice restaurants to give up the habit. Homeschool cheaply—yeah right. We have a mortgage, and car payments, and orthodontist bills, and . . . and . . .   In Living and Learning on One Income, you are introduced to twelve different authors, twelve different perspectives, twelve different parts of the country (and even a different country), and twelve different situations. All of them live and homeschool on one income. Not only that, (more)

Which Room?  by micahrhys
I forget which day I'm on, but it's one of those I'll be stuck on for a while. The basic gist was which room in your mind do you tend to stay in? There's a room of appreciation - where you choose to think on the positives of your spouse. There's also the room of depreciation. I know which room I'm in 99% of the time :o(. It's like an automatic groove that I just slide right into. Given the busyness of my day between schooling the girls and taking carry of Boogie, my mind just wants to slide into (more)
