For many months now, we have tried cutting down on snacks of biscuits, bread or crackers from the supermarket and get more fresh fruits in our diet. For one, after a local brand of creamy lemon puff has been confirmed as tainted with melamine, I scrapped out all cookie and cracker brands we regularly buy on our list.
Although, it is not cheaper yet I am sure you will agree that it is a lot healthier. So for in-between meals, we have been enjoying all sorts of fruit in season including mangoes, watermelon, papaya, bananas, apples, oranges, plums, grapes, avocados and dragon fruit... DRAGON FRUIT? Yeah, you might already be familiar with this unusual looking fruit but to the unoriented, let me introduce the "pitaya" to you.
