Homeschooling From Birth

Jul. 17, 2006 - Save money on diapers including health food store brands!

The Lord is so faithful to help me continually find places to save money, as me and my husband are living on a very low income.

Just after my first daughter was born 2 1/2 months ago, I broke out in horrible eczema on my right hand. My dad had suggested that it might be from the baby wipes, since that was the only knew thing I had been using lately and that made sense (it was my right hand, which is the hand that comes in contact with the wipes). I had been using several different brands: Huggies, Parents Choice, etc. but my eczema was getting worse (and very painful), so I decided to go to the health food store and buy the Seventh Generation wipes. Within a day and a half my eczema stopped hurting so bad, and about 2 weeks later it was healing up and almost gone. My dilema was that the Seventh Generation wipes costed $5.49 for a tub, which is more than I could afford, so I started to look online for better prices and I came across this website: www.1800diapers.com. I was able to buy Seventh Generation wipes in bulk which reduced the price down to $3.33 for a tub! I was also able to afford the Seventh Generation diapers on this website (they were about the same as I have been paying for huggies at Walmart).

1800diapers has pampers, huggies, and many other types of diapers for the BEST prices out there, even cheaper than Walmart! You can even use coupons on this website!!! Shipping is FREE on orders over $45 and minimal costs for orders less than $45.

If you are interested in buying from this site, here is a code for $2 off your first purchase, if you've never ordered from this site before!

Coupon Code: AMWE2109

Don't forget to type it in or you won't get a discount!

The other really nice part about ordering online is that you don't have to run to the store to get diapers either~ saves time and gas money!!!

Jul. 4, 2006 - About me and my family

My name is Amy. I am a 24 year old SAHM. I am married to the most wonderful, loving husband. We have one baby girl, Katelyn, who is just over 2 months old. This has been a very busy last year! I got married, had a baby and graduated from college (had one final exam to make up cause I had my baby just before the semester was over!). I am very happy to be staying home with my baby. I love the verse in Titus 2 where it calls women to be keepers at home or homemakers!

I have planned on homeschooling my future children since I was about 19 (just after I became a Christian). Homeschooling or homelearning doesn't have to wait until children reach the age of 5, but can start right after they are born~ providing different activities for the different ages. I plan on doing preschool at home. And my baby is having "music lessons" every day. I love playing good classical and instrumental praise music for her, and she loves it too!  She loves laying on a blanket and listening. When the music stops, she'll start to squirm and then I'll play another song and she'll be happy and content! Research has shown good music (like Mozart) helps to develop babies brains! (Its also very calming for them!)

Some of my interests are in studying the Bible, reading good Christian books and anything on homemaking, frugal/simple living, homeschooling, natural health, nutrition, etc.

My interest in natural health and nutrition started because I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since I was 17 years old, after getting sick with mono. It has been quite a battle, but the Lord has helped me to regain my health to the point where I was able to get married and have a baby! There is hope out there for those who have these two illnesses!

It is such a joy to be married to my husband. He has truly been a blessing from God. We love spending our free time grilling out (he's makes great food on the grill, while I make yummy side dishes in the kitchen!). We also love visiting our family. Our parents especially love to see little Katelyn. It is my parent's first grand child. My husband's parents have 11 grandchildren (he has 5 sisters). Me and my husband also love spending time outside when the weather is warm and nice. During the cold winter months, we usually spend our evening snuggled up on the couch and watch some good nature videos. We also love spending time in the Word together and have been working on doing studies with our pastor at church, which has been a real blessing to both of us.

Katelyn has been a wonderful little baby, very happy and content! I went into labor with her on my birthday and had her the next morning. She is growing so quickly! Me and my husband often say too quickly! I love the verse in the Bible (the Psalms) where it says children are a blessing from God, a reward from him! This is very true and we hope to have many more blessings!

People are often wondering what God's will is for them. Here is one Bible verse that speaks about God's will for all of us. This is one of my favorite Bible verses "Be joyful always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you who are in Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Thank you for reading my blog! I hope you are encouraged by my writings. May God Bless you and your family!
