Well it's been a few weeks since we started homeschooling train-boy and we're loving every minute of it.  We've tried a few different co-ops and I think that we finally found a couple that will work. 
I've been meeting up with my friend B and her 2 little boys for a co-op once a week.  We've been letting the boys do show and tell, we've been playing games like Duck, Duck, Goose and of course doing some schoolwork.  This has been working out great because our boys get along wonderfully.  Train-Boy and Little-one love B too, Little-one always runs straight to her and gives her a huge hug.
B and I have started doing lapbooks together.  A lapbook is basically a unit study displayed inside a file folder (or 2)  it's been a lot of fun!  Here's the first half of Train-boy's apple lapbook.  He's really gotten a kick out of doing this and what a great way to learn!


We've also just started a new co-op at one of our local churches.  It was the first week last week and it went really well.  Now they are wanting to change the class that Train-boy is in, so we're going to try it out one more time and see how it goes.  Train-boy loved the first day and learned so much!  I would just hate to take him somewhere that is going to rehash all the stuff he already knows.  So like I said we're going to try it out again and just see how it goes.
