For a few weeks now I have had a hard time focusing on my routine around the house (including school). My 14 yr. old has had the same problem. We've both just felt like we couldn't get a grip on our minds; like everything was cloudy. I started to think maybe we were being affected by allergies, being that both of us were feeling the same way. But today I was reading John Eldredge's book "Waking the Dead" and I read this sentence: "The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy any movement toward freedom and life." Right then it hit me! The enemy was declaring war on my household! Of course he doesn't want me to have a sound mind. Of course he wants my mind to be cloudy so that my days are unproductive. Anything to keep us from moving forward with God's plans! As soon as I read that, I stopped reading and began praying. I called out to God to remove this veil that satan had put over my mind and my son's mind. I confidently asked God what he wants me to do; how he wants this household run - and God responded "efficiently". I asked Him how he wants me to teach my children - and God responded "consistently". I knew in my spirit that these words came from Heaven and I rejoiced! No more cloud. I'm putting on my armor of God and moving forward toward freedom and life and the enemy can't stop me! Praise God! If you are reading this and you feel like you can't make decisions lately or you are just wandering through your day, not really knowing your direction, I encourage you to stop and ask God to fight the enemy on your behalf. Ask Him to remove the veil that has been placed there by satan. Ask God to give you the direction He wants you to go in. And write it down so when the enemy strikes again you can have the instructions in front of you of where you need to be. Don't give up! Just pray and seek God's words and do it in faith!
