I have finished the second book in the Anne of Green Gables series, Anne of Avonlea. It was good, I really liked the ending, but the whole book itself wasn't as exciting as the first one. But I really did like the ending. I'm going to take a break, and try to wait until I buy the books to finish reading them. Well, I'm going to try.
Today was pretty uneventful. It was cooler than usual for this time of year, and very windy. We usually do have alot of wind, but it just seems windier lately. And it's a strong wind, real strong. It's hard to do anything outside because you'll feel like you'll be blown over. But by the evening time the wind dies down, and Paul and I can sit outside on our swing and watch the sun set. So that's nice.
That's about it. Like I said, the day was pretty uneventful. I hope you all had a good day. I'll try to post more tomorrow.
My day was very eventful. jenn4him and withHim4ever came over for a play day. Then I received good news that the satellite installers were coming. I'm all hooked up and flying. What fun! Thanks for your encouraging comments and prayers while I was snailing around.
Wow, that was quick! If I recall correctly, Anne of Avonlea was the hardest for me to get into, but it's been ages since I read it! I'm anxious to re-read them all myself. I've been watching the videos with my husband (his first introduction to Anne) and it's making me want to start reading. I've read Anne several times, but I've only read the rest of the books once and that was probably 15+ years ago! They forever took up residence in my heart, but I've long forgotten what they were about! :) It'd be like being reunited with a long lost friend!
How is your daughter enjoying Anne? My dh thinks she's hysterical and understands me so much better. It's been very eye-opening for him to watch.
Sorry that I haven't commented lately. It has been really hard to get computer time. I will have to read Anne of Green Gable. Do you think boys would like it? Have a great day!

Quiet days are nice days. (0= We need to savor these so when life gets busy we then can cope. (0; We must be getting
the same weather patterns. It is sunny here at 7:17am. I will have to check out your weather thingy to see what you have today.
The first Anne book is by far the best. I'd say they go down hill after that, but they are all good. I agree with the other poster about "a long lost friend". I wish the movies followed the books better. I look forward to the day my girls are ready for me to read them to them. My boys like Little House, but they don't like Anne too much. Last night I pulled out one of the movies while dh and boys were doing scouting, they returned before it was over. My 10yod said, That's a girls movie. :)
I sure wish you were here yesterday ;)
I remember how awsome the sunsets are in the West of United States.
I played a little with my template today, but then had to stop, my eyes were getting very tired from the HTML. I got the cream back ground.
You will love the Second Chance store. I almost wish we had made a second trip there so I could look at anything I missed the first time!
Our puzzle is just on a piece of foam board. I have thought of getting one of those puzzle things, but haven't wanted to spend the money for it!
Have you listened to the Focus on the Family Radio Theater version of 'Anne of Green Gables'? It is great for long road trips!
I am a wife and mother of two. I started this blog to share the things the Lord shows me in my journey as a wife, mother, homeschool mom and His daughter. And in it all to "grow in the grace and knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
