Monday

House Cleaning/Game Day

I have been awake since about 6:30. I spent some time in prayer. Seeking guidance and praying for protection over my family.

Then I made the French Toast batter (is that what it’s called?) and emptied part of the dishwasher. I found some notebooks for the boys’ classes they will be starting today.

Connor was up first and got to choose which notebook he wanted. I gave him his new backpack (his brothers had them he didn’t have one). He enjoyed that.  He wanted to write “CATS RULE” with a Sharpie on his backpack. I told him we’d look for a sticker, but I didn’t want his writing with marker on his backpack. (not yet…goodness).

Then I started a load of laundry and put all the socks from the sock basket into the dryer. They were all clean, but have been laying in that basket for a while.

Connor set the table for Breakfast. Then I trimmed his hair in front and trimmed a teeny on the sides to blend the trimmed ‘bangs’ into the rest. He got all huffy about that. He just wanted a little bit trimmed right above his eyes. I don’t mind him looking fluffy or funky, but I won’t abide with him looking dorky.

I set out supplies for packing lunches for the boys.

8AM—Gavin is hard to wake up. He’s in that puberty time of needing more sleep.

I gave all the boys Meletonin last night to help them sleep.  I was going to take some, too, but I had a glass of wine before bed and I don’t think I can take it with wine. The wine made me sleep though.

8:07- Gavin is up and in the shower! Not bad!

I think I will set a timer next time and just turn his water OFF on him. A boy doesn’t need 30 minutes in the shower! He just sits there and soaks up the nice warm water. It’s nice, yes. But we have a time schedule to keep.

CAT BATH! Today we bathed the kitties! Connor and Gavin bathed Soksey and I bathed Pumpkin. Ki is in tears.

He can’t bathe the cat due to his  full length arm cast. Poor guy. He’s so sad.

Good thing I called to double check class times today. The art class has been moved from Monday at 11 to Thursdays at 1:45. This messes up my week. I am NOT HAPPY!! I like having both classes on the same day. It was going to work out perfectly! Art class-Lunch-Computer class. Now Ii will driving back and forth twice a week  I may still drop the boys off for early for lunch. So they can eat lunch with the other kids. I’ll ask the school if that is OK.

I hate when my plans get changed! I feel so LOST and frustrated! And I end up getting sulky and not doing anything. I better go get a move on things so that doesn’t happen.

Got the boys moving to clean (G-vacuum, C-fold sock, K-straighten couch cushions).I cleaned my bathroom floor from the CAT BATH and flipped the laundry over. Gavin had to RE-do the dished he put away lazily and improperly. Called my husband to complain about my messed us schedule!

 And I finally got MY shower!

Some more cleaning. Then I sat the boys down to do a bit of school type stuff. I hate when my plans get changed. This SO throws me off kilter. I will have to rethink everything. ARG! Why do I have such trouble just going with the flow????

Ki heard the tornado siren that goes off every Monday at noon and decided it is practice time.

I think I have a plan for my new time schedule.

I renewed our museum membership.

I have Bible Study tonight.
