HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAVIN!!!!
He seems to like his new rollerblades and TobyMac CD he received this morning.
We had pancakes for breakfast. Gavin’s favorites. But he only ate one. All of the kids each ate one. They usually eat lots more, but were in a hurry to play on the dirt mound with their new friend, Ronnie.
I washed some clothes by hand in a plastic tub with dish soap. They didn’t come out super clean, but compared to what they were like, I’m pleased with the outcome. They are wearable again.
It was chilly most of the day and threatening rain, but it finally warmed up a bit and the sun was out, so the clothes are about dry. But there was no swimming today.
No unit study sales today, but I haven’t been in the auditorium much.
Brian left today. So now it’s just me and the boys. I had them wash dishes after dinner. They weren’t too happy. They wanted to join their camp friends in the dirt, I think. They have had quite a bit of freedom here. Tonight, I told them to be back before it got too dark. Let’s see how they do. Connor is gone a lot. He disappears for a few hours then turns back up just as I start to think about being concerned. Next time, they will all have watches!
I have been making a list of what we need to bring next time. It’s my Camping Supply List. I forgot Swiss Miss…. That was almost unforgivable! And a vinyl tablecloth would have been handy. And a large spoon to mix and serve with would have been handy, too.
