May 24, a day my life changed forever! A day just 14 years ago, I became a mommy for the first time. At that time, I didn’t think life could get any better.
Then, exactly 4 years later, I was blessed with my second child, my daughter
I can’t believe my oldest is 14 and my sweet Aundrea is 10. One day you are bringing them home from the hospital, then you blink and they are 14 and 10!! Where did the time go?? All I can say is time flies when you are having fun!! And, I’ve had a blast watching my children blossom into a mature 14 year old and a beautiful sweet 10 year old. Yesterday we celebrated their birthday by having a birthday party for them. As usual, and part of our tradition, I made their cakes.
Garrett requested red velvet with cream cheese frosting.
Aundrea wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
I baked the cake and the kids decorated their cake.
Aundrea’s theme was Hannah Montana and Garrett’s theme was 3D Star Wars.
We had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends. Speaking of friends, my best friend from high school drove in from Houston to attend the party. It was so nice to see her and her family again. This makes the second time we have seen each other in the past 17 years. They will be moving to Kansas soon so we don’t know when we will see each other again. Thank goodness for email this has kept us in contact with each other all these years!!??
So I say Happy Birthday to 2 of my favorite people in the world. You have no idea how much I love you and how proud I am of each of you!!! Garrett, I can’t believe you are 14 now!! And my sweet Aundrea, you are 10! (You go girl)
