Today was sad day for American and around the world. 

Earlier today I received news that Farrah Fawcett  lost her battle from cancer. She was 62.

Then, this afternoon while watching the evening news, it was reported that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson died today. He was 50.

These two icons will be forever missed!

I have to say - it's a little disturbing that Jackson is getting so much coverage, and yet, led such a disturbing life. And Farrah, who had such a sweet demeanor about her, is being totally overshadowed by the sick facination with "wierd".
I guess wierd is more interesting than sweet.
