Jul. 9, 2007 - The Fantastic 5 Finale Celebration!
These five little troopers, well, 4 short and one tall. Stepped out in faith and began to homeschool in the Fall of 2003. The 3 dark headed ones are mine...duh! and the other two are the fabulous Will and Victoria Vines, our Senior Pastor's chirldern. All and all the vote on homeschooling has been positive. As Pastor Kids they all agree that not having to get up early after those late night church services and meetings that the "Parents" do is a pretty good deal. The biggest benefit was getting to do "day" activities while other friends were in school. The downside was having to make up school work missed from spending extra "play" days hahahah. This picture above was taken at the beginning of May when the Spiderman 3 movie came out. Pastor Bill and Donna, my husband and myself, along with votes from the peanut gallary thought it would be a great idea to go see the movie, in the middle of the day, followed by a fun lunch at Applebee's! We took this picture to commemorate our "last" day to hang out as Homeschoolers. My oldest son Wynn, and both the Vine's children, Will and Victoria, will start Christian School in the Fall at discipleship school in our community. Our Pastor's Wife has been given more responsibility as Co-Pastor of our church and feels that her children need to continue their education in a classroom setting. My son, Wynn will be attending the same school. When we moved to South Carolina, our family decided that when our children started 9th grade they would attend Christian School. I cannot say enough about this Discipleship School........it has a great reputation and the same quality care and education they recieve from home.
As for my 2 little ones, lol, ages 12 and 10. We will be continuing our homeschool endeavor....It will be so cool to bond with them on a different level, although it will be odd just being the 3 of us! I will update later!
