I just finished this project this afternoon. What do you think? Cool, isn't it?

The colors blend a little better than they appear here, especially in the evening when the recessed areas are really dark. Here's a close-up of the fireplace:

And the lettering above it (my motto):

Now to get the pictures, books, stereo and DVDs put back where they belong!

It's wonderful! The colors are awesome and that little gold phrase really looks great. You did an great job. BTW, that's a really cool wall!

Karen, that is beautiful! I love your color choices! My walls are a light brown (it kind of hides all the dirt) but I would love to be brave enough to do a dark color. I did "step out" and paint my guest bath red.
Anyway, it looks fabulous - post another picture when you fill the shelves!
I haven't stopped by in a while - I forgot that you had your blog redesigned. I had Christi make some changes to mine too - Isn't she wonderful!
