Homeschooling Our 4 Blessings

May. 2, 2006 - Blogging Again

I'm finally blogging again. It's been so long since I've made an entry.I've been SOOO busy. Life with 4 kids, 2 being toddlers, always is. Fun and busy.

School is going wonderfully. We are finishing up our Ambleside  year 2 and year 4. I finally have a good schedule that we are following. We are usually done with school by noon and have the rest of the afternoon to be outside and enjoy nature. Here is a copy of our schedule:

Now that the weather is nice we are spending most of the day outside. After breakfast and copywork we take the rest of our studies outside. We read, play, and have lunch outside. This really helps with C (2) and C (3). They can keep themselves busy for hours playing in the water, finding bugs, watching birds etc.....

Today was one of those days that we spent most of our time outdoors. We went out at 10:00 a.m. and came in for baths at 6:30 p.m. Boy were we dirty!!!! It was a great day. We were able to get all of our school done and a lot of playing. I'm so thankful for this opportunity to homeschool these 4 blessings from God in such fun and memorable ways.

I plan on going more into our schedule next time. Hope you are having a blessed day.

Jenn

Sounds like a great day, Jenn!

While reading outside would be lovely (if done early enough before it is TOO hot), it would be impossible to do math outside...I think they would be WAY too distracted! hehehee...too many critters to follow and too much dirt to dig. :-)

Lovely, lovely day though!

Love,
Marsha

I enjoyed reading your blog. I found it encouraging. It sounds like you really enjoy your family. How wonderful. I have 6 children and I know I could use a lot more joy!

Just a thought... I found the type in your blog hard to read. The lines mixed together. Maybe a different font?
