Lynette Darkness Falls Another Strange Visitor The Message and the Messenger
-------------------------------------------------------------
|
Wolf Woman and the others stared at the two girls who had invaded Titans’ Tower. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but something was telling her that they needed to hear what the girl in white had to say.
Once Cyborg lowered his arm, the girl started talking, “Thank-you. As I said, I’m not here to fight.”
“Neither am I!” the girl in the body armor lowered her arms, which she’d thrown up defensively when Cyborg threatened them.
“I’m here to warn you guys.”
“Warn us of what?” Robin stepped forward curiously.
“Well, I was at the nearby train station and I walked past a man, his name is Trevor Densely. When I walked past him I got this strange feeling from him. I couldn’t put my finger on it at first, but I soon realized that he was carrying a disease-”
“Hold on.” Cyborg said, “You’re telling us that because of a strange feeling you got, this man has a disease?”
“Yes, much like Raven’s powers enable her to feel things.”
“So you’re a telepath?” Raven asked curiously.
The girl shifted nervously, “Not quite. See…I’m an angel.”
A bunch of the others, including the other strange girl, gave a resounding, “WHAT?!?!” But Wolf Woman kept quiet. Something about this girl…makes me want to believe her. And why not? She has wings like an angel, she’s beautiful, she has a slight glow about her…
“You expect us to believe that???” Cyborg said incredulously.
As the others gave their opinions as well, Raven fell back a few steps. “Are you okay?” Wolf Woman asked her.
“It’s nothing.”
She didn’t believe her, but she also knew that Raven wouldn’t tell her anything, so Wolf Woman turned her attention back to the girl in white. Something inside kept saying “Tell them you believe her. Tell them.” “I believe her.”
The others all turned to look at her. Then, after a pause, Starfire exclaimed, “If friend Wolf Woman believes her, then I do too.” She turned and gave the girl a giant hug, “It is a pleasure to meet you, angelic being!”
The look on the girl’s face from being squished made the others laugh and the tension in the room lessened. Wolf Woman looked at the other Christians in the room (the other two Wolves and Robin). They all nodded; they believed her too.
Beastboy walked over to the other new girl, “Well, she’s an angel. So who are you?”
“I’m a Mandalorian Jedi.”
Beastboy’s eyes lit up, “A Jedi? Sweet! Can you do that “wave-your-hand-and-they-obey-you” thing?”
