Berlyn's Curriculum

This year is Berlyn's first year of Homeschooling High School.  We are using an aray of different studies and curriculum.

She is learning French from another homeschooling mom.  I will have to get the list of books, websites and workbooks that she is learning from.

She is taking a Church based curriculum for her Seminary class.  This school year she is studying the Book of Mormon.

For Biology we are making a homemade curriculum based on an old textbook, videos and other things that we find on the subject and topics.

For math we are using Key to Algebra that is working out wonderfully.  She is in the middle of book 9 out of 10 at this time and we hope to finish up by Mid-February.

For English/Literature this year she decided on Mythology.  She is doing this course with a girlfriend and the friends mother is teaching the course.  This is a Freshman college level Mythology Unit.  She will be done with this course by the end of January.

For History this year Berlyn wanted to learn Sociology with her friend.  This is a college level textbook that we are studying from.  This is taking the girls a little longer as it is a college level, but other subject coming up with completion we hope to take more time with this course.

Also for history Berlyn is studying Civics with our homeschool group.  She is really enjoying the monthly or bi-monthly workshops and debates.  We will be focusing on adding to this in a unit study approach.
