Welcome to 4dfarms
Jan. 16, 2008 - Sorry I havent blogged

Ive been here just battling a few colds. Im alot better, but the boys got a cold. Been using our homemade remedy and its helping alot. Dakota was going to bed everynight coughing his head off, finally I made him take a tsp. of straight lemon juice one night and he slept like a baby. Gone through alot of toilet paper though. Praise the Lord for one thing, weve been fever and ear infection free so far. Poor Dakota can get the worst ear infection. But so far the lord has blessed. Just stuffy noses and coughs. The past few days weve worked together and got the house cleaned. Ive managed to make a delicious deer soup, hubby loved it. I made a loaf of whole wheat bread and a loaf of white bread. A two layer choclate cake. YUM YUM.  We didnt get to go to church tonight because it started sleeting and snowing. my steps were already forming ice on them. Dallas fell asleep in Daddy's arms. Daddy took him on a test hunting trip in their blind in the back yard. After an hour he got bored and wanted to come in he was so cold. Hell get better in time. Dakota killed his last deer for the season. It was a doe and she will be in the freezer too. Me and Dallas made some deer jerky, it was good. Ive been trying to catch up on some reading. Ive been addicted to Food Network for the past few days. Tisha showed no signs of heat again this time so we should have a kid around May 4th. Yea Im so excited and nervous at the same time. Im starting to plan my garden spot for this spring. It want be long now. Im going to start growing some fresh herbs to cook with in the house. I dont want to put them outside I want them handy to just go pick and cut. Got some organization done in Dakotas room. Still have alot of pictures to hang in his room. Not to mention some to hang all over the house. Fixing to get somemore chickens to replace the ones that killed by a predator. Our friends have been hurt by a couple of their horses and they have decided they are just not physically able to care for them anymore. So their selling and giving a way their livestock and poultry. I wish I had the fence put up now so I could have bought their cow they raised from a calf. Oh well one thing at a time. my mind is going 90 miles a minute, but my pocket book is yelling, slow down. Ha! When I get the nerve and time that I dont get interruped, I will attempt to make my grandmothers famous lye soap with gardenia scent in it. Lovely. Doing school and running the house is too many interruptions. I need to focus and concentrate on what Im doing. We are way ahead in Science and History but I kind of want to keep i t that way. For the next 6 wks in History we will be working on Our State Notebook Of TN. I have printed alot of info from the internet. We have alot of reading to do. It will count as one whole test grade. In Science we are studying the earth and surfaces. Hes getting so much better in Arith. with fractions , I loved fractions in school. In Language we are going to start diagraming sentences, I loved that too. Dallas has been working on his letters, hes getting better. I only make his do a few a day. I just hope Ill have him prepped for Kindergarten in August. Well its getting late, gotta go to bed now. Everyone else has, so might as well join them.
