Welcome to 4dfarms
Jan. 31, 2008 - Oh the weather outside is frightful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know about yall but Im cold! We had some wintery mix last night and I woke up with a cold this morning. Im stuffed up!!!!!!!!!  Had to get outside today and everything was froze. Down at the barn the girls looked at me like your gonna have to  come in cause we aint getting out in that!  They looked so pitiful standing in the doorway.
I felt bad today so Dakota took it easy on me. He put a load of clothes in the washing machine all by himself to help me. Now Aint Dat Fweet? ( Just remembering this old saying of my grandmothers, of course it sounded better when she said it).  Despite feeling puny today, we had a good day in school. Dakota aced all his tests today. We all got in kitchen and cooked. Dakota chopped up onions to put in our meatballs. He was good at it, he said he felt like he had his own cooking show. Ha! he did better than me. Dallas helped me shape the meatballs. Then we made sweet whole wheat oatmeal muffins, and homemade bread. We had a good time together.
We got our cleaning done and now their playing. Dakota has a pillow shoved in his shirt and standing at one end of the hallway, while Dallas is running towards him from the other end of the hallway and bouncing off him like a tennis ball. They are so funny. Dad is getting off work and gonna go pick up some groceries incase the weather is bad again and we cant get out. The gas truck was suppose to come out and fill up our tank yesterday and he got stuck. So he left. Hope it dont run out before we get it filled again.
Our new farm cat is growing like a weed. It turns out that it is a "he" but thats ok. He is so friendly. He puts his nose on your lips like hes giving you sugar. hes so cuddly. He must have been an indoor kitten and use to kids. Hes really good with Dallas, especially when Dallas is squeezing the tater out of him. Ha!
I plan to plant some indoor things like herbs and try some onion and garlic. I love to cook with garlic now, and want to try fresh herbs.
My bible study is going great. I feel a little more pride about my self and my ministry to my family.
Well I guess the bouncing is over since Dallas just hurt his little boody. Ha!
It is still raining outside, if the temperature drops it will turn to sleet like it did last night.
I was so proud of Dallas last night at church, in class he wrote his own name on his paper. I just told him the letter to write and he did it. Ive got it hung on the fridge for all to see. This is a great accomplishment for him.
I think theyve decided to watch the rest of TMNT. He got it for his birthday along with a tv to go into his room. The only time they get to retire to their rooms to watch tv is after school and homework is done and chores are done and we all just want to do what we want to do, for a little quiet time. For someone who wanted their own rooms, their still piling up in each others rooms. For the past few nights Dallas has snuck in to Dakotas bed in the middle of the night. Brother is so sweet, he doesnt push him out. Ha! I got the best picture one morning of them snuggling.
Tisha is getting a little bigger. She is well conditioned and a good weight. If Im behind on getting down their for their morning feeding, they help themselves to the feed bucket and knock the "concrete" block off the top of it. Talk about persistent. They do have a mind of their own.
Well Ive got to go make sure Dakota reads a chapter in his book for his book report, and tuck the other one in for the night. All is well in our house and the Lord has blessed.  I hope he has your. If he hasnt do a spiritual check up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
