Welcome to 4dfarms
Mar. 23, 2008 - Busy weekend
For starters we took off Friday since it was the day my Lord was crucified for me. We went to Medina,Tn and spent the day with a lady showing me how to make cheese, butter, ice cream, and yogurt. She educated me alot. She makes soaps too from her herds goats milk. Her house smelled wonderful with all the scents. I felt better with her showing me, because I learn better that way. I cant stand to sit and read manuals. Im a visual and hands on person. After that we went and had lunch. Then Dakota just wanted to go looking. So we just go to some places weve always wanted to go and look around. We spent the day in Jackson and goofed off. We stopped at Pinson Mounds Archeological Museum but it was closed due to being a holiday. So I just let them out onto the park playground. There I met a lady I knew homeschooled. I can just spot them from a mile away. She had 6 kids and another on the way. Oh my Gosh how does she do it? We talked for a long time. Then it was time to head home. We stopped to check on the chickens and one of my friends called and wanted to know if they could come over. I have helped her get into dairying and one of her babies is Tishas half sister. They brought pizza and their grandson played with the boys. He is 3and a half. He loved the boys chicks. We got in bed way after midnight.
Saturday Dakota said just let me sleep in the morning dont wake me up. Guess who was the first to wake up at 7:30? The deer slayer Dakota. Me and Dallas slept in. We got up and nobody was hungry for breakfast so I go take care of the girls and let them out. They came up to the house and stayed until it was time for baseball practice. Then when I go out to take them to the barn, they just lay there and dont move, so I still go get in the rhino and stop at the end of the house, there they are still laying and saying "Were not going anywhere". after much munipulation they finally cooperate. Dakota had to walk beside Tisha before she would move. If he stopped, she stopped. She has taken a liking to him. Shes getting bigger and I think going up and down the hill to the barn is getting to be a little much for her. We head for base ball practice. Me and Dallas go to the park while Dakota is practicing. Then its Dallas' turn. We go home and have somemore company come for dinner.
Sunday we get up and get ready for church and enjoy the day that the Lord had made and we rejoiced and was glad in it. A little girl that Dakota witnessed to in Revival was baptized today along with her mother. She found Dakota after church and gave him a big hug. I think he swelled up with pride. After church we went to Nannies house for Easter like we always do and pigged out. Ha! Could you ask for a better weekend?
Well it is late and we are exhausted, so I think were going to bed. The last few times daddy has called, he sounds homesick. He has a two more weeks to go.
My friend is helping me figure out how to put photos on to my blog, If I get it I will put pictures on here. |
