I know its been a while did you miss me? Daddy surprised us and came home a few days early. He loves surprising us. We took spring break because he wanted to take us on a mini vacation. We went back to where he was working in Russellville, AR. Needless to say this is the exact same place where I believe Dallas was conceived when Daddy worked there almost 6 yrs ago. We stayed in a hotel with a heated pool inside. So while daddy had to go and turn in his badges and things we went swimming. We had a ball. The next day, it was raining and we didnt get to do much so we just went browsing. Just being together was what mattered. These boys (daddy included) had fun wrestling on the beds jumping back and forth. The last day we had lunch with on of his buddies. Then it was off to home again. Im kind of sore from riding so long. I love to travel and go places. but it really shows up later.. My girls were taken care of by some of our friends. They are really nice people to have as your friends. I have taken care of their pets for them before while they were out of town. They know they can count on me. We got home and just relaxed and went to bed.
Today the boys had baseball practice. I stayed home and washed clothes. I kind of felt exhausted from riding. I went to the barn and saw the girls. Cocoa was proud to see me, she loved on me. Tisha is just Tisha and said "Oh Well shes back whooptie doo!!!!!!!!!!!. She missed me a little, cause she came and nudged me and cocked her beady eyes at me. I got my milk stand in and put it together, It is really nice. Ive got to get the girls use to it. Right now they dont know what it is. Ill give them a day or two to play on it.
Dakota is doing really good pitching and hind catching. These are two new positions for him. We went and bought him his catching gear. He is trying really hard to learn these and doing great. Dallas is doing good too when he pays attention.
I told Dakota since we took off a week, next week weve got to hit the books. and weve got alot of work to do while daddy is here.
Both of the boys got new hair cuts. It was hard for Dakota and daddy to agree on a style til I found one in a magazine. Dakota still got his side fling, and daddy got to see Dakotas ears again. So both parties were happy. Dallas' is about buzzed but enough on top where he wants to spike it. He is so cute with it like that. Dakota and daddy had been battling this hair issue for months. Daddy had to realize that Dakota is growing up and developing his own tastes and styles. Daddy just didnt like the hair over the ears. So now they compromised. I convinced Dakota he is still handsome and the girls will still look at him. He just blushed.
I will probably go next week and get what I need for a chicken coop. Weve got to get Suzie a kennel put up because were going to see if she can come home in a few weeks. She earned a show title a few weeks ago and did great. The trainer is really impressed with her.
I excited that my parents is going to give me the garden tiller that my PaPa gave them. They hardly ever used it and Momma said she wanted to keep it in the family and knew that I would put it to good use. Im so glad. Now Ill think of him everytime I use it. I sure wish he was able to come see our farm, but his health is not good and he cant get out much anymore. I so want to keep this tradition going. David and I have worked hard to get where we are today. and we are enjoying every minute of it. For Fathers day were going to get a hutch and order some wild turkeys for him to raise and set out on our property. I believe he will be surprised. Later we want to raise game birds for hunting.
Well Ive got to get the boys ready for bed, for church tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a blessed day in the Lord.
