30 Days of Praise
Since I started the Month of Praises section on my sidebar two months ago I have found myself excitedly looking for things in my day to be grateful for. No matter what trials may be going on in my life, there is always something to Praise God for. What are you praising God for? Here is my list for September.
Sept 1 ~ the many bloggers who have added month of praises posts Sept 2 ~ going away parties, old friends, new friends, laughter, fireworks ~ finding out you did something spur of the moment that was an immediate answer to someone elses prayer Sept 3 ~ contests, getting to know someone better, gifts from God, Sept 4 ~ brakeline on our car broke in the driveway just before we were going to go on a day trip Sept 5 ~ My son who was asked to write two sentences about Nero, wrote almost an entire page and asked how he was supposed to cut it down to two sentences Sept 6 ~ special uninterrupted quiet time and Bible reading Sept 7 ~ birthday parties, family game night with all 7 family members present, fresh haddock that was given to us, family and friends willing to help watch our little ones so we can accompany our oldest to college Sept 8 ~ being able to attend the convocation ceremony of the class of 2010 at Colby- Sawyer, my oldest being one of the members of that class Sept 9 ~ getting my own car back from the garage with new brake lines Sept 10 ~ hearing friends pray for your family, an awesome sermon illustration about forgiveness Sept 11 ~ getting a call from your brother because he was concerned that you looked down Sept 12 ~ my baby's fourth birthday, Homeschool mom's dessert night Sept 13 ~ going to the beach in the middle of the day and meeting some new homeschool families Sept 14 ~ God's provision of strength to stay calm in a very frustrating situation Sept 15 ~ a well-timed encouraging comment left on my post, my sons results on some assessments done, a new relaxed homeschool schedule Sept 16 ~ Fall evenings, sitting on the swing looking at the stars, no mosquitoes, doing puzzles with my two littlest ones, kindred spirits Sept 17 ~ Having my mom next door willing to do all the little clothing repairs that I dread, finding meat on sale, my husband's love Sept 18 ~ An essay written about home from my college student Sept 19 ~ Having a contract renewed that we were told would not be Sept 20 ~ Being able to keep the attention of most of my Awana class during devotions Sept 21 ~ My sons 19th birthday, finding my husbands prayer and praise list, a great Good News Club meeting Sept 22 ~ Taking a hike with my mom and kids, a beautiful view, dinner out Sept 23 ~ Soccer games in the rain, 1 hour to myself to watch game, read, do Sudoku puzzle, listen to Christian music, dessert date with my son Sept 24 ~ Lots of cleaning out done in preparation for two new bedrooms Sept 25 ~ Call from my son, knowing he is happy at college Sept 26 ~ having ds10 choose to help his dad at work and missing something he wanted to do Sept 27 ~ breakfast with ds15, Sept 28 ~ DH brings home chinese food for supper, an offer of childcare so that I can attend a woman's retreat in November Sept 29 ~ finding out we have a $450 credit for heating fuel this winter Sept 30 ~ soccer, an afternoon at the park, skipping rocks, playing follow the leader

....more than you bargined for when you ask my 2cents worth.
I like the ponies, but then I liked the bears. Personally, I think you ought to do something with rainbows, but that is just my opinion.
And hey, about that child care thing in November -- please tell me it's the MOM's retreat and that I'm finally going to get to see you at one of them???? It'll make it worth the trip.
Blessings dear friend, MaggieRaye
