I have enough entries now to end my contest. I wanted five in each category and I have at least that in all three. However, I know there are still a few of you out there who haven't had a chance to enter and therefore I am extending the contest until March 7th. Why March 7th, you ask. It is after all the middle of the week. Well, it's a long story but suffice it to say that seven is one of my two favorite numbers, 3 being the other and since March 3rd is this Saturday, I decided to extend it a few days past that. For complete contest details and rules read my Do You Haiku? entry.

     Be sure to check out all the neat entries. The first entry  in the teen category was titled Frozen Water and was posted by Eyebright at Defective Compositions. The first entry in the adult category was named Long Ago and was posted by Psalm 5:18. The first entry in the kids category was posted by Butterfly10 who is the child of CoMamabear. Next I got entries from Biblekid2;  COMamabear; Annointed;  Little Eblings Academy; Wade Boys Mom; Serving the King of Kings; Blog boy ~ who insisted his brain is now fried from having to write a haiku, and my very own son ~ who isn't eligible for the prizes by the way, but wanted to get in on the fun Mainekid1 whose haiku is titled Haikus?

    Read all the great haikus with titles such as Fruit Smoothies, Winter Morning, Packing, Snow, Finches, Winter,  and Texas Winter. I've had a lot of fun reading all of the entries. I really love poetry and want others to love it too. Poetry is a great form of self expression and comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. In the future I may run another contest spotlighting a different type of poetry.

I CANNOT WRITE GOOD AT ALL!! That was a horrible display of my writing. I don't know about your comment, "You're a great writer" Umm...Not really. Jocelyn is much better at that sort of thing than I am.
So since you already know I posted my Haiku, I would qualify for the teen group. I would love to get that GC, cause I need to order a book from CBD that I have been wanting for awhile!! That was part of the reason I was eager to enter. Otherwise, had it just been something else I probably wouldn't have entered!! You are really special I guess.
