I just got done notifying everyone of their wins for the Haiku contest and Lo and Behold I get a comment saying I had won the contest that Alligirl was hosting, seeking encouragement for first time homeschoolers. I won a years subscription to the Old Schoolhouse Magazine. So let's have a double drum roll please.
After much deliberation and re-reading of haikus I finally chose the winners. I want to thank everyone for their wonderful entries. I was honored by the number who chose to participate. There were a total of 31 people entering with a total of 38 haiku's written. Bookwormbethy wrote the most haikus. She entered a total of six haikus into the contest. JacqueDixonSoulRestEs assigned this to her family and I got a total of 6 haikus from her family. I was very encouraged. However, I had to choose just one winner per category, accept in the kids category. I found another Adventures in Odyssey CD so I chose two winners in that category. All haikus entered were wonderful and I hope you'll all keep writing.

SuperAngel I wanted to win...but I didn't write a very good Haiku anyway...so I guess you picked the right winners!!
I hate to write too, but I don't count blogging as writing...more of getting together with my friends and socialization. So I bet your 16yo would prob like blogging if he got into it!!
Thanks for wracking your brain trying to think of a name for my blog...I think I know which one I am using...I posted about it.
