February 29, 2008 - My recent surgery.
I sure hope y’all like surprises ‘cause I’ve got one for ya’ (I apologize for not giving y’all fair warning ahead of time). I had some minor surgery on Wednesday evening, nothing serious really and recovery time was a record low (about 0.2 nanoseconds). It didn’t hurt me a bit though some in the room were having a difficult time just watching (yes, observers were allowed). ‘Twasn’t 100% sanitary but I shouldn’t get any infections. I’m just thankful it’s finally done and over with. Would ya’ like to see some pictures? I’ll give you before and after shots and you tell me what you think.
Preparing to enter the operating room:

As you can see in the background my dear friend Valerie was there to offer support (not that I look very troubled, though you can clearly see the angst on this observers face).
After the amputation (whoops, did I forget to mention that part of it?):

“Out with old and left with the rest” was never a truer saying. As far as I know the only side effect is an increased desire to play with my hair (and that goes for everyone, not just me). I hope this post brought a chuckle to your lips. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 (I can’t believe the Word dictionary doesn’t have any of the old English ‘eths’ in it!)
And before I forget, you must remember to wish Frederic from Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” a happy birthday on this 29th day of February (despite the fact that he’s fiction). While you’re at it you might wish Gioacchino Rossini a happy birthday as well (despite the fact that he’s dead). Have a blessed and merry leap day!

February 29, 2008 - Ah- ah- ah....
Your Bea-utiful hair!!!!
I CAN NOT believe you cut it! Give me a minute to get over this shock and pull myself together.
*pulls self together*
Your new haircut really is beautiful- but, wow, that was a shock! ;-)
You're braver than I am; I could never bring myself to shear off my blond tresses, as unremarkable as my hair may be! I bet your head feels lots lighter now!
I find it very amusing that I happened to tell you how lovely your hair was on the very day of the operation, when you and Josie were here. Rather awkward! Had you planned to cut it then?
Anyway, your hair is gorgeous in any form, so I shall leave you in peace without any further rambling!
Love ya!

Your hair is beautiful before and after! Such a wonderful auburn, and so beautifully full.
The after is very lovely! It gives a fewsh, lively look. Did it feel lighter? I know when I've had a significant amount cropped it feels lighter and is fun to feel the "bounce" of hair as I turn or walk.

Lol! You totally freaked me out! I was going to say "how dare you go into surgery without calling in the prayer artillery!" It is a good thing it was just hair! (the haircut looks nice by the way. ;) )
Ok, sorry for the short comment, but I think my eyes are going to fall out. It is 3 AM here.
Go with God,
Eric
March 1, 2008 - You had me going...
Your hair looks beautiful! I keep going back and forth between the two pictures, trying to see which one I like better. I can't seem to make a decision, but I think the short hair is REALLY cute, so I am leaning that way...
Is it strange having such short hair, after it being so long? I am sure washing your hair is a lot easier!!!!
I actually don't remember the specific day of my conversion. (I know that is really sad!) I was quite young, and it was more of a gradual occurrence. A while back I was pondering whether I was truly saved or not, due to the fact that I can't remember a day when I "gave my life to Christ", to borrow the oft used phrase. However, I know I am a sinner, I know that Christ died for my sins, and I spend my life in allegiance to him, and daily try (often with too much emphasis on "try") to bring my life to be more a mirror of his. So, in spite of the fact that I don't remember when I went from not believing these tenants, to believing them, I still acknowledge myself to be a Christian. It is obvious that this would be the happiest occurrence of my WHOLE life, so you have me on that one, I just don't remember the specific day...
I will do my best to make all further posts dull and unlaughable, so you don't get yourself thrown out of any public libraries. (I doubt that I will succeed.)
Later,
BFH

Yep, I am part Czech more so then Irish lol. I would rather have it the other way around though! We found out that we were descended from some famous Czech composer also. Not quite as renown as Strauss, but still he made his millions. Lol.
I didn't really answer question #73 because it really isn't important. As you said Jesus is my friend and I have 5 family members that are my best friends. On the other hand if I was talking about my friends outside of the family and outside of Jesus I would say that I have around four or five close friends. ;)
I turned 17 on the 22 of January. Everyone keeps asking me when I'm going to drive and I'm like "why do I need to drive I don't go anywhere!" I think I'm going to wait until I'm 18 to drive because then I don't have to go through a bunch of junk with taking drivers courses.
Ok, got to run now! I'll talk to you later. I'll also try and change that type font on PFH tonight :)

Oh, hey, remember Michael L. from our church? The guy with the red hair? Well, he cut his, too! And so now it's really short. Strange coincidence... considering you two are almost the only people I know with red hair! ;-D
