Ok, so I thought I'd actually write something that has to do with homeschooling instead of politics. I know, I know, don't go into shock now! The last thing I need are e-mails from concerned family and friends that I put their loved one into the hospital for heart palpitations!! LOL!!
Ok, down to brass tacks.

Anything he wants to read, he has already read 50 chapter books this summer!! This from a kid who told me in 1st Grade he hated reading and was NEVER going to read!! HA!!! He's reading at a middle school level and some lower High School level. Cool!
Just decided this was the year!
So, for exercise there is karate twice a week and sometimes of Friday for extra sparring classes. There is Scouts once per week for social and skills. We also take part in other homeschool group activities field trips as they come up and regular visits with friends for church and fellowship each week. The boys also like to jump on the trampoline and ride their bikes when it's not quite so hot.
So far it is a good year. The boys are doing well and we are managing to keep decent time despite being interrupted by 20 mo old "Sharky". That is his own nickname! I love it! he likes it. We always call him Pie or as my oldest says, the P.I.E. but he says, "No Pie, Sharky!" He doesn call himself the Pie Man though. I always know when he's being naughty as I'll hear him in the other room go, "Oh Pie!" in the way a parent would when they sigh after finding the dirt out of the plant and all over the floor.
Not that it's happened or anything.......LOL!
Now you know for all you inquiring minds! Field trip to a great garden place the other day, learned to identify angiosperms and gymnosperms, vascular plants and seedless vascular plants. Lots of fun. Did I remember my camera? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! argh!
