This Journey of Mine...

I've got the coolest thing to share...

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been neglecting my blog, I love to see the amount of visitors that touch base with me...I actually feel guilty each time a new number is added to the visitor counter because I know they are checking in for a new entry and I've disappointed again. I'll try to keep adding entries more often... So, my very cool thing to share is this... Last Fall we found a beautiful, green caterpillar. We put it in a jar and it instantly made a chrysalis. I left it in our aquarium along side our praying mantis egg sac and kept it outside, undercover, all Winter. Each day we check the egg sac because if the baby mantids don't get water within 24 hours of birth they will perish. So, yesterday we checked in on them and...WAIT! What's that moving? IT'S THE CHRYSALIS!! The coolest thing I've ever seen...our chrysalis had life within! We are keeping a close eye on our new baby to be and have found out that it is a Swallowtail Butterfly! I'll let you know when she's born!

Thank You Jesus for your gift of life!

One of the amazing gifts of Homeschooling under the Guidance of Jesus Christ is that He's leading us. One of the questions that the judges asked Lee at her Science Fair was, "If you were to study deeper into Entomology, which direction would you go?" Lee's response was Butterflies. When we were on vacation in Saskatchewan a few weeks ago, I found a great study/activity book on butterflies, and now we are having the amazing privilege of watching a chrysalis open up!  I just think it's awesome how God orchestrates our days.

Yes, I agree. This is wonderfully amazing to watch new life emerge. I have been impressed with your focus on science and the depth at which your children learn about God's creation.

Your house is looking good too, btw.

That is so true. When you trust God, He will always put all the right tools at your reach for you to teach your children. Our God is an awesome God. His creation is all around us and all we have to do is ask and He will show us.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I will be new to homeschooling and your posts are such an awesome inspiration.

God Bless,
JEN

Hi Mel,
I've tagged you in the "7 things about me" meme. There's a post in my blog about it. Hope you have fun with it.

God-lead education is the best. I've been amazed too by the way our Units almost fall together when I'm trying the least.
I'm excited to hear more about your butterfly. Praying peace, love and joy over your home today.
P.S. Don't feel guilty about your blog entries/or lack of them. With Spring in the air, and school year-end busyness, I'm also so caught up in living that I'm not finding time to sit with the computer. That's a good thing! Blessings!
