Two Weeks to Go!
|
Well, we have two weeks until the big move! With this colder weather we have been having, it spurs us on to work quickly! I am quite sensitive to extreme temperatures and this bitter cold is really getting to me. Praise God, He is sending us to a place that does get cold but not bitter cold! He is so good!
Ellie, Zachary, and Jared all have come down with a croupy cold. Ugh.... My first thought was, not now! But, you know what, so what if I don't get everything packed in the order we would ideally like? I need to comfort my sick children. They need nourishing meals, tea, and to be held. Lee reminded me that the work will get done, it always does. How I needed that encouragement.
My sister and her family came up on Saturday and spent the night. We had a wonderful time being together as families. This will be the last time we see them for awhile.
I still have lots of packing and sorting to be done. We have a couple more dentist appointments, and then we will be ready to go.
I am still pondering what to do with an active 20 month old boy in the car for seven days, any suggestions?

Just a few suggestions for your twenty month old for the long car trip:
some baby story and song cds
I purchased one of my nephews a little baby kind of etch a sketch- I can't remember it's real name right now
definitely a comfie, favorite blanket and stuffed toy
some fun with brothers and sisters is a help
I don't know if you have a portable dvd player but people say they're great-it could be a last resort-I personally don't have one I opted our of that in my van but with a 20 month old for so many days it could be a help
Maybe lots of breaks from the car will help-except it won't help you get home faster
some snacks he loves
I hope these help. Drive safe. God will be with you.

First of all, thank you for your sweet encouragement you left on my post about draggin'. I took your advice and popped some extra Vit. C. Second of all, I haven't been on much the last week or two and was surprised to hear about your move! How exciting!!! You know, I would sure love to meet you IRL when you come back this way! We'll have to find a way to make that work! I'll be praying for you, remembering the specifics you mentioned. Many blessings to you!

Your blog looks great. How is everything going. I was just wondering where you are moving to? Where are you originally from? Where are you now? I know you're moving but I was just wondering where from and to. I hope you don't mind me asking. No rush on the answers, I know you're busy, just whenever you have a chance.
Blessings, Ruth
