Marie's Good News
|
Marie and I did a follow up appointment with the surgeon who has been assessing her leg problems. The great news is that the infection has not spread to her bones. God is working. For now he is recommending that she be placed back on anti-biotics and monitored. He would also like her to see a vascular surgeon. There is an artery in her leg that he would like them to put a balloon in and open it up. He's convinced that it would allow more blood flow and permanent healing of her leg. She would be lightly sedated for this. I will have to see what the risks are before we agree, but we have quickly gone from talking about amputation to talking about total healing. Wow. Someone at the home has fixed her accordian so that all the keys work again. She is so happy about that and is playing every chance she gets. She's become attached to the people who come in on Sunday for services in the afternoon. They let her play along with them and she loves that. Michele and the kids are staying at Aunt Kathy's tonight. She must be hanging them from the rafters. Tomorrow morning they hope to pick fiddleheads. The millions that we have on the farm have mostly gone by already. Pray for Justin. After three treatments there is no change in his condition. He is not sleeping well and his head always aches. |
