It was a beautiful day today. We got invited to the Begins for a delicious lunch and good fellowship out on their back porch. This is my third entry today and I'm trying something new with those of you who tend to read my blogs on a regular basis. I am sending you an email that let's you know I've updated my blog. Not sure if it'll work, but it's worth a try. Justin and Rachel are staying with Aunt Kathy tonight. The Risingers have been gone all day for church and a special recognition of their recent graduates afterward. Melissa called tonight, still in limbo about what God is going to do with their love for Guatemala and their desire to learn Spanish. They come home in 12 days with mixed emotions. Perhaps this time of separation from Guatemala will clear some fog for them. A lot of decisions will need to be made over the next several weeks. We are all looking forward to having them back. The Burbanks have been struck by bad colds. It even put Jeremy in bed for two days. It's not easy keeping him down, so you KNOW he must have been very sick. Loralei has been spared so far, and was the only one to make it to church today. Isaac and Lauren have been well, too. Jeremy is off for two nights of camping with Jeff, so hope she stays well in his absence. Jeff is moving his family to NC  so I guess the guys are getting a little more bonding time in before the move. I am picturing "Grizzly Adams meets a Food Network star" ... not a likely mix, but I'm sure they'll make it work and have a great time. |
