My brother is 52 today. He gets to celebrate by working the night shift at SAPPI tonight. His wife, Lisa, is in North Carolina helping her mom take care of Mike and Christy’s kids. They are in Europe touring with some high school seniors. His daughter, Erika, is with Crysten tonight having a movie night with her and Kelly. Good times. Crysten was supposed to be Kevin’s birthday buddy, but she waited an extra day to have her own special day. Today some of her girlfriends picked her up for a lunch at Big G’s. They had a great time by the sounds of it. I tried to plant some annuals today. Things were going well in between hail, rain showers, and strong winds. I got a little mowing done, but finally had to abandon everything and will finish later. Our Colby girls are winding down their semester and it has been extremely stressful for them. I picked up some of BoBo’s things to store for the summer. She seemed relieved to have everything done – finally- but Annelene is still hard at work until Wednesday. Loralei and the kids came down this afternoon. Jeremy is on a camp out until tomorrow. Everyone seems to be doing well after their bad colds. Carissa and Megan are here for the night and will go to Portland with us tomorrow to help celebrate Aunt Crysten’s birthday. They are watching Ann of Green Gables right now. Bob left for NY today around 11ish. He met up with the Reeds at 5:30 and they enjoyed and nice supper together. Everyone was able to come – that was good news and bad news. Good news that they could all see Papa – bad news that they had to come in the gas guzzling Suburban. It was a 3 hour round trip for them to make the connection. Guess I’ll go join the girls for their movie night. Tah Tah for now. |
