the Blustery Days...
Hum for a Blustery Day

"Where are you, Pooh?"

Hum dum dum ditty dum
Hum dum dum

Oh the wind is lashing lustily
And the trees are thrashing thrustily
And the leaves are rustling gustily
So it's rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be
It feels that it will undoubtedly
It looks like a rather blustery day, today
It sounds that it may turn out to be
Feels that it will undoubtedly
Looks like a rather blustery day today

and yesterday and the day before that and the day before that and... well, you get the picture.  "O Bother!"  My poor plants are taking such a beating.  It's not supposed to stop any time soon.

Today was the last day of pizza until the fall. When Wednesdays roll around,  I don't think I'll say "I wish I could do pizzas today." but I don't mind doing them either.  It certainly is a blessing to be able to support my mission trips in that way.  I've made lots of friends through the experience, and had some great bonding time with my sister - who has been the best help all year.

After we met up with family and friends and played tennis - in the blustery day.  Kaleb and Justin are doing great at connecting with the ball, and even placing it across the net.  Why should I be surprised?  But, I can see improvement over last summer even though they haven't been playing.  They also did some knockout basketball in the yard here.  They get along so well together.

After tennis, few of us had ice cream at Giffords and then played mini golf - in the blustery day.  Crysten won.  I got a hole in one, but only came in third.  Fun times and the wind gave us lots of excuses for our tennis and golf errors.

I checked and no one slept in the Burbank tent last night.  Just as I thought!  I knew they wouldn't have as much courage without their protector, Kaleb. "They have a big stick in there to protect them, Nana," he insisted, confident that they would stick it out without him. Carissa caved first and Megan and Isaac soon followed.  Perhaps tonight, with Kaleb back home, they'll sleep out there once again.

Prayer meeting finished off the blustery day, and now I am off to bed to rest up for more bluster tomorrow.
