Jan. 22, 2008 - 1st lapbook completed!
We completed our first lapbook over the weekend on weather. We did one for all ages, so it is packed with many flaps and mini-books. For those who do lapbooks, how do you organize the process? Do you make the lapbook as you go, or do you put it together when you are finished. What works for you? I would appreciate hearing how others have done it and what works for your family.

I learned to keep all the books collected in a gallon zip lock bag. (cut a small snip off the corner to keep from kids playing games w/ the ziplock., yes this has happened to me.) Then when you are all done, I usually do this w/o kids around first. I lay out the little books and flaps and figure out where we are going to put them. If you have a lot and can not remember where you want to put them, just trace them on the file folder, put initials in the box so you know what little book goes there. That way when you sit down to do review and glue them into the folder you are not distracted on makeing sure everything fits. :-) I hope that helps. Congrates on yoru first of MANY lapbooks!
