| Please pray for my grandfather. He will be getting surgery today. Besides that, I have some funny poems I found!
This one is a limerick. Before you read the poem, read this: If oz. is pronounced "ounce", would boz. be "bounce" or proz. "Pronounce"? Okay, here's the poem!
A girl who wieghed many a oz.
Used language a dare not proz.
For a fellow unkind
Pulled her chair from behind,
Just to see (so he said) if she'd boz.
That's one of my favorites!
Here's another:
There once was a man from Japan
Whose limericks never would scan;
When they said it was so,
He replied "Yes, I know,
But I make a rule of always trying to get just as many words into the last line that I possibly can."
That one is very funny even though it breaks the limerick rules. I love that one too!
Okay, one more.
There was a young fellow who thought
Very little, but thought it a lot.
Then at last he knew
What he wanted to do
But before he could start, he forgot.
Goodbye! And don't forget to pray for my grandfather! |
