Air Force Homeschoolers
Jul. 6, 2007 - So....like, I totally rock.....

I am honored and slightly embarrassed to be the recipient of the

award by my friend Kim. No, you totally rock, Kim! :) (my inner 80s self coming through there) Kim is the mom of 9 beautiful children, and we met up years ago courtesy of the US Air Force. (they are now retired, we're still in) We have been through the births of babies, losses, illness and more ups and downs than I could mention. She is still my dear friend and homeschool mentor. Go check her blog for tons of great thoughts on child rearing, as well as lots of good stuff for home organizing, homeschooling, homesteading and anything homey. :)

I admit, I am a sucker for any blog which inspires to me to love my children and husband more. I love it. It makes me want to listen more closely, talk more softly, and just remember to enjoy every moment. To that end, here are a few gals who rock!

Diane  --we met up in Guam. (Haven't I nominated you for something before, girl??) She is a mom whose love for her kids just shines through. Plus, she thinks chocolate is the solution for anything, so I'm going to keep her.

Here are a couple I'm related to: (poor things)

My leetle seester Becky  She is juggling life with 3 boys after just sending her husband on his second 15 month deployment. I'm not sure how she does it. She is pretty amazing, though!

Dee is my sister-in-law, and she and and my baby brother Jeremy just had their first baby last year. Awww....it is so much fun to watch them navigating the waters of parenthood.  And tell me you don't want to just Eat that cute Baby right up!!!

Here are a couple I'm not related to:

Sandy at Falling Like Rain--I love to read her blog. She is a fellow longtime homeschooling mom and book lover. Someone I'd enjoy meeting in real life, I'm sure!

And here's a new one for me. You know with a title like Barefoot Backyard Bookworms, it's simply going to be a good read. I love seeing what works in other families!

Shew....I need to get to bed. I think I've blogged more this week than the entire last month!

Thank you for your kind words! I'm sure I'd love to meet you in real life as well. I'm planning to post soon about our Sonlight plans for the year... stay tuned.
