A Holly Day

Aug. 16, 2005 - Jack Sprat

Jack Sprat could eat no fat,
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between them both, you see,
They licked the platter clean.

Holly - I liked your poem. Keeping a poem book is a great idea. I want to share one with you that I read with my son Kullen who is 7 years old the other day - we really enjoyed it. It is called Snowball - by: Shel Silverstein
I made myself a snowball
As perfect as could be
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
And let it sleep with me
I made it some pajamas
And a pillow for its head
Then last night it ran away,
But first - it wet the bed!

Isn't that funny? Keep enjoying poetry - it is a great hobby!
