Review: God's Little Princess Devotional Bible
From the moment we opened the packaging of this gem of a story Bible, my nearly-four year old little princess has fallen in love with this new sparkly, jewel-encrusted little Bible storybook. Packed with fun features to teach little girls the best qualities of becoming a Bible princess, God's Little Princess Devotional Bible is a delight to read aloud to my own little girls and is filled with opportunities for gentle teaching and instruction while capturing little hearts and imaginations. This story Bible will inspire young girls to trust that God is their hero and is worthy of their love and attention.

I was impressed by such features as "I Adore You!" which includes songs, Scriptures, and ways to worship and praise God and "Worthy of Love" which focuses on teaching my little princess-in-training ways to love her parents, siblings, extended family and friends. "Royal Truths" explores royal traits taken straight from Scripture--honor, charity, fairness, honesty and more. "Down in My Heart" and "My Hero" feature suggested Scripture memory while "Take a Bow" encourages little girls to act out Bible plays with mom's help. I was further delighted that "Beauty Secrets" encourages the development of Godly attitudes rather than focusing on outward beauty.
The simple Scripture selections from the International Children's Bible make this a perfect devotional Bible for four to seven year old girls, as well as little girls a little older and younger. My own three year old and eight year old girls have each laid claim to this unique story Bible with a feminine touch. Our only criticism is that my own little princesses prefer not to play the parts of men and boys in the "Take a Bow" Bible plays; in our family brothers will instead play these roles. Highly recommended. Sheila Walsh's God's Little Princess Devotional Bible is 337 pages and is available for $16.99.
