Somewhat stressed, but always BLESSED!!!!!!

Feb. 28, 2006 - A ray of hope.......

Lately I have been very sad. There are some things happening in my life that I have absolutely no control over, and to be honest these things have complete control over me. Why is it that when Im faced with some of lifes biggest trials my first instinct is to figure the whole thing on my own? All to often I immediately go to work on the problem without even thinking to turn to God and allow Him to do the work. Thats what Hes there for right? He wants me to give it all to Him so He can take care of it, then Im not walking around in funk all the time. But as usual Ive been working on this certain something in my life trying to fix it on my own, and guess what it has all come to a halt and has almost ended my marriage. AHA, bright idea, why not call our pastor and get him involved and seek some Godly counsel.  DUH!! Pride is a terrible thing. Well praise God, we let down our guards for a while, and sought the counsel of our pastor, and I have to say that I feel a ray of hope. Life doesnt seem so hopeless now. But thats oneof Gods specialties isnt it? Hope. This session with our pastor was EXACTLY what we needed. He had some very straight forward comments towards my husband and I, so there was no taking sides and thats what we needed. I truly feel that God was present during this session and that the words/advice given was from God. My husband and I walked into the session not even looking at each other but left the session praying for one another. Who other than God can do that? God truly is good. Even when I stumble and try to fix things on my own, and completely ruin it, Hes there waiting patiently to jump right in and save me. Im truly not worthy!!!

Feb. 28, 2006 - A few scriptures for YOU!!

Because I love ya!!!!
"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, 'Destroy him!" Deuteronomy 33:27

"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!" Isaiah 30:18

"Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders." Deuteronomy 33:12

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint" Jeremiah 31:25

and one more to grow on (hahaha):

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:29-31

Feb. 28, 2006 - hello

Hello Misty. My name is Corinna and I sure do love the fact that God can pick us right back up. We stumble but Hi is right there. I was thinking of the verse that says Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Sometimes that is exactly what I want to do but I need to lean on him in the good and the bad. I am new to blogging and I liked what you do and said. I desire to have friends like that. My 5 and 6 year old love going to the library to play on the computer and to check out books. And they love Chuch E Cheese. Well, time for me to to go. God Bless. Would love to hear from you. I am in need of some blogging friends. Corinna

Mar. 1, 2006 - praying for you...

My husband and I once went through a terrible trial that I was not sure our marriage would survive, but through God's grace, we are together and more in love than ever. I encourage you to pray, pray, pray and seek His will. He can heal whatever has happened.

Mar. 2, 2006 - I'm guilty too!

I do this myself, in fact, been doing it for many months now, with much the same results as you. Not to the point that my marriage was in trouble, but to the point that it was straining our relationship. It's hard to be brought to our knees only after we have exhausted our own efforts, instead of hitting our knees to begin with and giving it to God. I got brought to my knees the other day and now that I've given it over to the Lord, new opportunities are opening up and I'm back to my playful self with my sweet hubby again. God is good!!! I pray you have the same wonderful and long lasting results!

Mar. 3, 2006 - HI, I'm Jamie

I have come across your blog, and I have really enjoyed you entries. You sound a lot like me, when life comes at you it comes hard. I have been feeling the same way lately (in a funk that is). I think I'm coming out of it but I'm still praying to God for his divine intervention! But your story has given me hope!

Mar. 4, 2006 - EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUEST FOR CANDACE!

Hope things are going better...

Cathy, Candace's mom, has sent out another EMERGENCY Prayer Request for Candace. (She also posted one in the middle of the night that Janne informed some of us of, as things are not going well). Please keep this little girl in fervent prayer.

Please remember the family of Missey who are having her funeral this morning. I will be having a post honoring Missey through "A Mother's T.R.E.K." and will keep you posted on that as well.

In Him,
Amy

Mar. 5, 2006 - scrapbooking

Thank you for visiting my website. My scrapbooking is done by Microsoft Digital Pro photos. I also use scrapbook delux but since getting the Digital Program I do most of it on the computer and then I upload my 8 by 10's to snapfish photo and have them print them and send them to me. I believe it is cheaper to do this and the picture quality is fantastic. When I receive them I can add to the page and then put in the plastic page protector and then it goes into the album that I make. I so enjoy doing this. Thank you. Until next time. Corinna
