Hannah's Drawing
|

Hannah drew this in about 10 minutes with dry erase markers on our whiteboard.
This blew me away. She has some talent that I have to figure out how to supplement.
Any ideas?

Hello - I've really enjoyed your blog, and your daughter's drawing is really great? How old is she? I just started my blog here and I've got a three year old who loves to draw and create. Here's a link to his artwork blog if you're interested:http://thevirtualfridge.blogspot.com/
I've done a little Mona Brooks with him, but for the most part we just provide him with supplies and let him be creative in his own time. Introduce her to different mediums and maybe take a trip to an Art Gallery to see some different styles of art. Watching your child's creativity blossom is such a blessing!

Wow! That blew me away too! We put Alex into formal art lessons, I keep him supplied with any medium he wants and some he may not, and just encourage and encourage. He has low self-esteem about his art...perhaps that is part of being artistic?...so I try really hard to show him how his art style is unique and wonderful.

She is SEVEN!!! That is incredible. I am sitting her with my jaw loose. Perhaps you could interest her in drawing pics for a "newsletter" to your relatives? That could blossom into other things.

I appreciate being given the opportunity to view her drawing. I was inspired to say the least. I would enjoy seeing more of her work, if it were ok with you. it's a warming feeling that I receive from viewing just a minute part of her creativity. From what I can tell from the few comments you have posted regarding your daughters developement, I can tell that she has a very caring mother.

Hi There,
I posted a comment about Hannah's drawing about a month ago, I really enjoyed being able to see how wonderfully she is developing. I am pleased to know that her mother cares for her the way she does, I was just kinda hoping that my comments would spark a small response.

What a fun picture! She's quite an artist! You might look into this gals blog, www.homeschoolblogger.com/jillnovak. She is an artist and an author, and she has a lot of great info on natural ways to teach drawing and writing. She also has several of hers and her kids drawings on her blog. You will love showing them to your girls!
Blessings,
Nancy

Great drawing, Hannah! (I have a daughter Hannah, too. She is only 1.) I would definately get her some sketchbooks. A large one for home and a small pocket-sized one for a purse or bag.
I just started my blog this week. I am getting so much encouragement and fun ideas here!
