A few frivolous observations...

*   I SO missed talk like a Pirate day, AGAIN this year so here ya go...

Arrrrrgggggghhhhh....and shiver me timbers!!!

*   Autumn is coming!!!!!  In just three more days...  WOOHOO, MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

*   I am in serious Star Trek withdrawal.  I need to rent some episodes from Netflix to get my fix.  We are starting another year without a new series and it is just SAD!!!

*   Speaking of Star Trek has anyone else noticed that some members of our planet (mainly in the USA) are turning into BORG???  They have these electronic things coming from their heads.  They walk around talking to themselves like there is some kind of Collective they are connected to.  As I was on my morning walk/jog I noticed three of these BORG beings as they were leaving their homes, entering their trucks (remember I am in Texas and that is what men drive here), chattering into the air with an electronic device hanging from their ear.  Can't you even wait until you get out of the driveway???  It is utterly ANNOYING!!!  They SO need to read the book I am reading right now called Better Off:  Flipping the Switch on Technology by Eric Brende.  *she says as she types on her laptop*  ;)

*   Early class today and some reading to get done before I go so I am offline the remainder of the day.  Gotta get the kiddos schooled and a pot of beans on the fire for dinner, too...

My (66 year old) mom now has one of those fancy Borg-like things you are talking about. I just can't get used to it, although I have to admit it would make things very handy as I could diaper a baby and answer the phone hands-free. :) There's just something weird about seeing my mom more technically advanced than me. :)
