Talked to my professors and got full permission to be out for the whole week of Thanksgiving so I can go visit my folks.  I am so excited about this!!!  I have not been to see my parents for Thanksgiving in about 10 years or so.  Once we moved so far away it was just too much to make that trip on a short weekend.  The school district that Dan works for has decided to give them the whole week for Thanksgiving this year so we are doing the drive.  I GET TO EAT MY DADDY'S DRESSING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!  We get to sit around and watch parades and ballgames with my parents and brothers and their families.  I get to go do a bit of shopping with my mom and hang out with her.  I get to help cook and prep for our dinner together, too.  We get to play in REAL PILES OF LEAVES and take walks in the Piney Woods part of the world.  We get to smell a warm yummy kitchen and watch movies and visit all week.  I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Advent... 

I will be starting now to post links in the right sidebar for you guys and will be blogging more about it this year.  Our Christmas vacation (Dan's time) will be cut a bit shorter because of the extended Thanksgiving but I get a whole month off from culinary school during that holidays.  Stay tuned for lots and LOTS of links and posts...
