Very personal conviction...
Dan and I have mulled this over and talked about how every business and organization will eventually have a reason not to support them and we have looked at our pocketbook and wondered about our responsibility to shop smart and be good stewards of our money. We have covered all the bases that we could think of and have come to the conclusion that Walmart's new agenda is just not smart. They have been blasted by liberal groups all over America and still they are cowtowing to an agenda we just cannot support. So, as of today we will NOT be shopping there anymore nor will we be shopping at Sam's Club and I am selling my Walmart stock in favor of a more family friendly company. It is a personal decision. It is not necessarily something I would ask everyone else to do. It is just the right thing for our little family of six...

A relative works for Sam's Club. He's very contemptuous of them. He only continues to work there because he's been there for 16 years and he continues to have a schedule that allows him to pick up his children after school and be with them in the afternoons. When they are out of this stage of life, he's moving on to a company he can respect.

Good for you.

I never could stand going into Walmart (just a thing I have about crowded, loud, dimly lit stores...which they all seem to be here in town). I regretted not renewing my Sam's card...but this cinched it, too. May God reward your finances.
