Another death...
Beverly Sills passed away on Monday. I developed a true appreciation for her when I was studying music back at Hardin Simmons University 20+ years ago and when I was pledging Sigma Alpha Iota. I have loved her voice ever since then. Her sweet tones will be missed.
In other news...
My life has been on overdrive! Big surprise, huh? I found out yesterday that a lady in the church needs me to make a wedding cake for her by SUNDAY!!! YIKES!!!!! I made a quick trip over to Hobby Lobby on the east side for supplies today. There is a 40% off internet coupon for all of their Wilton products for this week up if you are interested. I got some great deals on stuff.
We had made plans with some friends to eat together tomorrow night so now Pattie is making dinner and I am just doing ice cream and baguettes to go with dinner so I can spend more time working on the cake. They are coming to our house, though for some down time. Pattie is only here for about 2 weeks and then she is back to active duty. School is over for the week, though and that is nice. I have some homework but not too much. It will all get done on time. I may be a procrastinator but all my work gets done on time. I just go sleepless to get it done sometimes... LOL
Josh is sick and not getting better so I might have to pop out to the doctor with him tomorrow, too. It is all snotty and coughing from drainage. He is feeling pretty miserable. Would appreciate prayers.... thanks!
I am starting my homestead blogger site back up for gardening and landscaping projects so I can keep a gardening journal of sorts for myself. The link is... Living the Good Life...
I also did a review of sorts on Ratatouille on my foodie blog if you are interested. There are no spoilers only opinions and how much we enjoyed it. We went opening weekend and LOVED IT!!! There are some really cool downloadable things for the kids at the main movie site, too.
