I know... I am neglectful! I finished up the week with a bake-off last week. You would be glad to know, I hope, that I placed 1st in the pie category - took a gold medal and everything! SO COOLIO!!! This is the pie... my own version of a Snicker Bar Pie...
This week I am finishing up my last take-home assignment in Nutrition and doing a bit more pie baking before the holiday and weekend are upon us. We will also be cleaning house this week and setting up for the Christmas season on Friday. I think we are going light on school this week. I also have a volunteer opportunity for the dinner at school on Wednesday for the Child Crisis Center. I think I will do it... I cannot pass up feeding kiddos for free!!! I love such things... So, that means I am scarce again for this week. I also have about 2 weeks until surgery... You all understand I know. I miss you all so much when I am not here on a regular basis but you know I am thinking about you all. I know that my New Zealand and British friends will not be celebrating Thanksgiving specifically but I want to wish all the best for Thanksgiving. Take time to just reflect on all God has done for all of us this past year. I am so thankful that three out of my four children know the Lord as their Savior now. I am so thankful I have my husband and family for another year. I am so thankful for the opportunity to go back to school and do something I really love. So much to be thankful for...
We may have lost friends and family members, too... take time to remember them. I will be thinking especially of Natalie this year... God is so good! I cannot wait for the ultimate day of Thanksgiving when we all get to meet up on the other side together. We are all gonna squeal like little girls and run to embrace. What a day... then we will get to worship our Father forever TOGETHER!!!!!
Love to you all!!! May your holiday be very full of all of God's blessings!!!!!
