Today is the last day of Christmas - the 12th day... Epiphany. So we spent the day taking down all the ornaments and decorations and the tree. That took the whole afternoon. We also loaded in the last bookshelf and then loaded in all the books. The shelves are already FULL!!! LOL We have room for one more shelf on that wall and may get to it around Spring Break.
Dan was in for lunch and then out for a trip to the music department for Monday's rehearsal and for some sight reading stuff for the kids. He took JoNathan and then they popped back in around 3:00 to move everything. While they loaded the attic I started supper - shepherd's pie, salad and a buttermilk pie. After dinner we arranged a few more books and got out a new game that Dan got for the 12th day of Christmas. He got us the Family Cranium Pack - we love the Cranium games and we played until about 9:00pm. We ate pie and drank coffee while we played. It was great fun!!!
Tomorrow is another full day of cleaning and arranging before we start school on Monday. I have a few more Virtuous Values posts and then a blog schedule for the year - an experiment of sorts - and then my January schedule. I find that I work better one month at a time so I will be doing a kind of New Year post each month so it will really be a New Month thing so that I can re-evaluate progress one month at a time and make adjustments as needed.
I am also posting at the Good Neighbor - My crunchy blog for anyone interested in all the hobbies and gardening, baking, recipes and such. I will not be adding any more blogs - these two are utterly sufficient to cover all that I want to share.
Have a lovely weekend and if I am here tomorrow I will try to get up a post or two.
Blessings!!!
PS. Christine - take up all the space you wish on my posts - I LOVED IT!!!
PSS. Dan's Grandmother is home from the hospital and doing as well as can be expected. Her son from Malaysia is flying in tomorrow and her oldest son from SC is going to be here on the 12th. They are all making the trip in case this is the last goodbye. Please keep praying for the family... Thanks so much!!!!!
