Joshua's cool new chair...

Joshua's new Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair

Joshua just got this cool new chair last week.  It's called a Tripp Trapp Chair and it's made by the Stokke company.  Isn't it cool looking?  He had been sitting in a booster seat strapped to a dining room chair before, and his legs were getting marks on the calves where the chair was cutting into him.  This chair is completely adjustable, the seat can move up and down, the footstool moves up and down so that it can be the exact height he needs for those very long legs of his. :-)  It's meant to put a child anywhere from the age of 8 months on at the right height for the kitchen table so that they can enjoy really being a part of the family dinner time.  I am not quite ready for Joshua to be at the table, I admit it, he would be pulling everyone else's plates off the table and smearing his food all over.  He'll get there though!  Once a child is older the seat is removed and the footstool becomes the new seat, so it's going to be able to really grow with him!

Well this is my SLOWLY breaking my way back into blogging post...:-)

Love one another~Adrienne

Hey, honey, you're rusty. Where's the chair? Is he in it?
Thank you for coming back to your blog. You have an important calling here. I believe you make a difference.

I have heard WONDERFUL things about these chairs. I wish I had gotten one for my Josh sooner - he just needs the foot support - but being as old as he is, we wouldn't get our $s worth, I think. Your Josh will get to the table soon enough - then the fun will really begin. :o)

I always wondered what these chairs looked like! Thanks for sharing it! I'm sure the dinner table will be tons of fun with your Josh. I know it is with our Josh! :) I'm still wondering when waiters at a restaurant will figure out that a under 2 year old doesn't need a knife.....lol! Glad your back to blogging, I enjoy hearing about what's up with ya'll!

Take Care,
Laurie

I think the design must be swedish or scandinavian anyway, because the name is swedish! everyone has chairs like that around here, at least kids! ;-)

The Tripp Trapp chair is Norwegian. We have three kids and therefore three chairs. They are all in the basement now, since the kids are 14, 18 and 20. But they all want to take their chair with them, when they move away from home or get more space to live in. They could still be using them if they wanted to, but we don't have space for them anymore. You often see them in restaurants here as well.
