WOW! I haven't blogged since May 28th.

Ali's pen-pal is here from Kansas.They write 35 page letters. Her name is Elizabeth.She is 14. She came on Monday, and leaving on Sunday.

There are 12 children in her family, but two are married.

     We went swimming at Schwalbachs on Tuesday. They got a 4 foot deep pool that you never take down.

       I am going to the square-dancing convention this Saturday. We are teaching Elizabeth how to square dance. Tomorrow night, Ali, Ike, Zack and Lizzie are going to square dance lesssons. Ali is making them (she and Lizzie) matching skirts and they bought matching shirts to wear to the convention.

Whoa, it's been really long since I've blogged!  Today was REALLY hot!  It was in the low 90s.  We put the window air conditioner in the living room and closed the big doors so all the cool air stays in the living room.  When it's warmer normally we spend the day in the living room.  We went to the Fellowship this morning.  Afterwards we ran some errands.  After we came home Dad filled up the little swimming pool and we made a slip 'n' slide with a tarp and the hose.  After we were done playing in the water us kids we went out to the barn and us girls played games while the boys played basketball and Mom and Dad took naps.

This morning Dad and I got up and made breakfast-in-bed for Mom.  We got her english muffins, strawberries, cantalope, cookies and water.  Then I made pancakes for everyone else.  We gave Mom a gift card to Stone Bank Gardens (a greenhouse) and some candy bars.  My Dad gave her a birdbath.  I gave her a butterfly picture. 

Then we went to the Fellowship.  After we came home we made lunch.  We had steak, chicken, fish, potatoes, corn, mushrooms (yuck!), and bread in oil.  It was REALLY good (except the mushrooms!).  We are going to have strawberry shortcake with ice cream.

Today my sister Ali and I went to piano lessons.  Our teacher is Miss Virginia.  I am in the fourth book.  Two weeks from Thursday we are having our Spring Recital.  I am going to play a duet with my brother, Ike.  Ike will be playing guitar.  We are going to play "This is The Day".  Ali is going to play a duet with Miss Virginia's sister.  It's called "Drinking Coffee with my Third Hand".

Today was nice and sunny and warm.  It was a great day to be outside.  We rode bikes and bounced on the trampoline and it was really fun!  We walked to the creek and we waded in the water.  It was cool, but felt good.

I'm excited to start blogging on the computer.  It's fun so far.  I'm also learning how to type faster by learning at a website.  I think it's going to be fun.
