I would like to tell whoever is reading this about my Hamster, Rover. Rover is a female Syrian Hamster. She is golden-brown with a white underside and white band across her back. I got her on december 3rd, 2005 as an early Christmas present. She is still fairly young and full of energy. Sometimes when I go by her cage at night she scratches on the glass because she wants to see me. I play with her anytime she wants to play. I make sure that she's treated like royalty in my house. She doesn't have much to worry about in my house. I have two cats, but they don't pay much attention to her. She watches out when my baby sister is around because sometimes the baby gets really excited. But the baby is getting better at being gentle with the pets. Rover is very tame and and stays in my hands if I want her to. Of all the small pets I've had throughout my life, she is my favorite. She is my perfect (or near-perfect) pet. Hamsters are some of the easiest pets to keep, and in my opinion, some of the best. I had many Siberian Dwarf Hamsters when I lived in Texas and this is my favorite breed, but Rover is still my favorite small pet (as I said before). I am very happy that I have such a great pet. P.S. If you don't want a billion hamsters, do not keep male and female hamsters together, because they breed very quickly and very often. And to avoid injury from fighting, I do not recommend keeping more than one Syrian in one cage, and do not keep only males of any breed (of course, you can have only males if it's one per cage).

Apr. 26, 2006 Meet Redfish
I am going to post a message about each of my pets, and first I'm doing Redfish, my Red Wagtial Platy. I'll try to get some pictures sometime.
I got Redfish sometime after Kikkoman the Betta died last June, and along with her I got Sashimi the Black Variatus Platy (Different story). She is large and very tame. When I feed my fish, she's often the first one to get to the food, if the Danios don't get to it first. She likes to stay in her cave near the filter. Sometimes she hangs out with Mozilla the Bronze Corydoras Catfish (Yes, I did name her after an internet browser). She moves slow and hides a lot. She's almost invisible in her cave except for her shining silver eyes. She is probably the dominant fish. She's my second longest living fish next to Mozilla. I don't really have a favorite fish, but I sure do love Redfish.
Redfish died of unknown causes Spring 2006.

Nov. 25, 2005 A Tale of Two Kitties
This is A Tale of Two Kitties. In other words, this is about my cats. I have two cats, as the title says, named Mimi and Buddy. Mimi is a grumpy female Tortoiseshell American Shorthair. The only times she is not grumpy is when I open a can of tuna or give her some other kind of meat, or when she is playing. Buddy is a lazy female Mitted Seal Point Ragdoll. It's hard to keep her from getting to sleep! Mimi and Buddy are biological sisters, born in my house sometime in April of 2001. They have a black and white brother named Simon, and Susie, a black kitty, is their sister. Mimi and Buddy get along pretty well, when they go within 6 feet of each other. Mimi loves to hunt, but Buddy will only catch a bird to save her life. My baby sister loves the cats, sometimes a bit too much. She always wants to "hug" the kitties, but it usually ends up with a hiss, a scratch, and a crying baby. But, the cats aren't too bright. To get away from the baby, they move ten inches or jump into a box and think they're safe. Cats are very good at entertaining, but it's only when they're making a fool of themselves. My cats may be foolish, lazy, grumpy and dumb, but that's the way they're supposed to be and I love them. Now you know A Tale of Two Kitties. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a blurry picture of Mimi. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This is Buddy. Again, this is a blurry picture but it is probably the best I have.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is another cat I don't own anymore. His name is Baby. He was very sweet. But he was in a bad mood on the day we took this picture, so that's why he looks mad.
