Wow! Everest Academy has been offered an awesome opportunity by Jasper Natatorium. It is time to get ready for the swimming season, and Jasper Natatorium has invited Everest Academy to four fun-filled open swim sessions that will include a water aerobics class for mom and a water safety class for the kids. How cool is that? Each session will begin at 11:00 a.m. and go until whenever. Each session will offer open swim in the huge indoor Olympic-sized heated pool the entire session plus moms can participate (or not) in the water aerobics class from 11:00 - 11:30 a.m., and the kids can participate (or not) in Whale Tales from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. If you have children that do not want to swim, there is an awesome playground at the Jasper Natatorium as well. If mom does not participate in the water aerobics or the open swim, she does not have to pay. Participants must pay for all four sessions, so $8 will pay for four open swim sessions per person plus either four water aerobics classes for mom or four Whale Tales sessions per child. Each participant can participate in the open swim and/or the water aerobics class (mom) or Whale Tales (children).
Cost is $8 per person for all four sessions. This will enable Jasper Natatorium to have ample lifeguards on duty.
We have a limit of 50 participants for the Whale Tales. You must sign up for all four sessions.

World Math Day
Jan. 5, 2009
Teenpact Alabama
It is time now to sign up for Teenpact. Alabama has two weeks of Teenpact to choose from, March 2-5 and March 9-12.
What is Teenpact? This is from their website:
"TeenPact is a comprehensive leadership experience that brings kids closer to Jesus Christ, makes them better leaders, and positions them to impact public policy in their state. During TeenPact, students meet important officials, interact with other like-minded students, and have more fun at the capitol than they could have ever imagined. Students leave inspired and challenged with an intensive desire to change America for Christ."
Students spend four day in Montgomery learning all about how their state government works. They learn about how laws are made, lobbying, interview elected officials, spend daily time in praise and worship, and have a chance to fellowship with other homeschooled teens. This is a terrific opportunity for your students.
Visit www.teenpact.com to find out more about registration.
