Mark Your Calendars! Please join us on Saturday, November 8, for the 35th Anniversary Celebration for the Literacy Council of Alaska! The festivities will be going on all day from 10 am to 5 pm with these fun events and activities: Dermot Cole Book Signing, Jamie Smith Cartooning for Kids, Story Time for Kids Every Hour, Half-off Sale on All Books, Free Food all Day! Come join us as we celebrate the thousands of students, volunteers, staff and donors that have championed literacy in Fairbanks these last 35 years!
Please note! We'll be closing at 4:00 pm this Friday, October 24, so that our staff can transform our bookstore into the 'Haunted Bookstore' for our students to enjoy at Family Fun Night! We'll be open as usual at 10:00 am on Saturday.
This week, October 13 - 18, all Modern and Classic Literature is 50% off and the shelves of both sections are packed with great reads!
Holiday cards: We have so many individual holiday cards that we've put them on sale at 10 cards for $2.00! They on the shelves near the big table by the window and are in bins for easy browsing.
Next week, you can buy a bag of Green Dot Books for $5.00! Don't forget to check the Vintage and Audio/Video sections!
Videos Galore! We recently received a huge collection of family-appropriate VHS tapes! You'll find many Disney movies and 36 Christmas videos! They are all in wonderful condition and most are out in the store - some on the kid's shelves, some on the other side. We'll continue to put them out as shelf space becomes available so check back occasionally to see what's new. These are all priced at $2.00 each because of their condition! (Many thanks to whoever donated them!)
