I had the brilliant idea today that to "launch" our study of Apologia's Elementary Astronomy curric, that I would build and launch a rocketship.  Once it was assembled I strapped baby in the stroller and took all 4 kids out into the field behind our house to launch it. I set it out, got the remote detonator attached, the kids covered their ears in anticipation.  And the count down began 5...4...3....2...1...nothing!  THat's right, the dang thing did not take off, there it sat mocking me.  I spent another 30 minutes trying to make it work. NO luck.  I guess this proves you do not need to be a rocket scientist to homeschool your children.
