Here is a recipe for the best smelling playdough I have ever made for my children.  It is a perfect addition for the month of October with both Thanksgiving and Halloween. 

• 5 1/2 Cups Flour
• 2 Cups Salt
• 8 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1 entire container of pumpkin pie spice (1 1/2 oz)
• 3/4 Cup oil
• 4 Cups water
• orange food colouring (2 parts red, 1 part yellow) [I used wilton decorating paste for cakes in the colour copper]

Mix all ingredients together and cook over medium heat until lumps disappear.  Knead on a flour covered surface until smooth and no longer sticky (adding flour as needed). 

This makes a HUGE batch, perfect to last the whole month even as you sweep away little bits at the end of the day.
